The
Meeting Place
I love to call Havre de Grace, "The Meeting Place"
since it fits our city in so many unique ways. Whether it's
the Susquehanna River meeting the Upper Chesapeake Bay, enthusiasts
meeting to share their interest in decoys, war re-enactments,
sailing or kayaking, or friends meeting at a half-way point
to share a meal, walk along the promenade and stroll our community,
"The Meeting Place" seems to say it all. Welcome,
enjoy, and get to know one another. Havre de Grace is not
just a quaint, historic village; she's a vibrant community
that has energetic people creating a place we call 'home'.
And home is always a place where strangers soon become friends.
We
have shared some of our stories with you. Now we would like
you to share a bit of information with us. Tourism is ultimately
a "first impression." We would like to know how
you feel about us. Answering these questions will help us
to improve our relationship with our visitors in the hopes
that you’ll want to return often.
Being
good hosts also means maintaining our relationship. Learning
more about what brought you here and what might bring you
back again and again, or what we can do to encourage you to
bring others, is the second stage of tourism. We cannot be
a tourist town without YOU! Please take a moment to consider
these questions, answer them, and add your comments. Without
a doubt, we will give your thoughts and remarks our undivided
attention.
Warmly,
Ellie
