Videos of Havre de Grace (Fall 2002) The Havre de Grace Historic Preservation Commission has just completed a second video about the history of Havre de Grace. This video enhances the commission's self-guided walking tour publication with more information and commentary, as well as, a wonderful assortment of photographs of Havre de Grace's notable buildings and historic sites. Commission members spent numerous hours in scripting, editing, narration, photography, and presentation of this informative video. Even native Havre de Gracians may learn new facts about their town revealed in the extensive research of the script and narration. The video is entitled, "Havre de Grace Walking Tour." This second video nicely compliments the original video presentation of the commission entitled: "Reflections: Havre de Grace's Losses, Part I." This first video features old photos, sketches, and postcards - all that remains of many of the structures studied. It is a walk down memory lane, taking viewers on a virtual tour of old-town Havre de Grace, much of which no longer exists. Both videos are productions of the Havre de Grace Historic Preservation Commission through Miller Productions of Jarrettsville, MD. The cost is $15.00 each. Videocassettes are available at City Hall, Washington St. Books, Courtyard Books, the Susquehanna Museum at the Lockhouse, or the Havre de Grace Decoy Museum. The commission is currently working on a third video production of Havre de Grace's gains and changes. Look for it to be out soon!
